To the Victims and Survivors of Domestic Violence: You are not alone.

To the Victims and Survivors of Domestic Violence

You are not alone.

Your pain is real.

Your story matters.

And you deserve to be heard, believed, and safe.

Domestic violence is a widespread and deeply rooted crisis affecting lives in every part of the world. It hides behind closed doors, in silence, in fear.

Too often, women — and others who are vulnerable — are beaten, threatened, silenced, and punished simply for existing, for speaking, or for trying to survive.

And while this violence happens in private, it is a public issue. It is a human issue.

Men — as husbands, partners, fathers, brothers, and sons — have a responsibility to protect, not harm.
A man’s strength is not proven through control or fear, but through care, respect, and accountability. To raise a hand against someone in your own home is not power — it is failure.

Being a provider or a leader in a family never gives license to abuse.

Love should not hurt.

Leadership is not dominance.

Masculinity is not violence.

If you are facing violence — physical, emotional, sexual, or psychological — remember:
You are not alone. You are not to blame. And you do not have to stay silent.

Reach out. There are people who care, and there are resources that can help. Speak to someone. Call a hotline. Find a safe way to take your next step — because you deserve safety, dignity, and peace.

And to the men:
If you have caused harm, take responsibility. Get help. Stop the cycle.
If you know someone who is abusive — do not stay silent. Speak up. Intervene.
It’s not enough to not be violent — we must actively be part of the change.

A safe home is a human right. Violence is never justified.
